The business was started by John and Ellens' grandfather in 1919. Over the eighty years, since then, it has grown into one of the most respected outwear manufacturers in the industry. In the last twenty years the company has diversified its interests into the development of custom manufacturing and the importation of garments solely for the promotional and career wear sector.

This has led to a programme of considerable investment, ensuring that Field Classics have the latest technology and systems available to them.

Plans for the future include continued expansion of the factory site in Yorkshire allied with the importation of the finest garments of their kind from around the world.
